"Promote digital RMB rebate"? Chongqing Branch of the People's Bank of China issues a warning against fraud risks.

The "Chongqing Refutation" official WeChat account posted an article on September 2nd, stating that recently, some illegal individuals have been using the name of the People's Bank of China Chongqing Branch to falsely promote digital RMB under the pretense of "paid promotion," "high returns," "sharing profits with businesses," etc., deceiving the public and causing negative social impact. In response, the People's Bank of China Chongqing Branch issues the following risk warning to the public: digital RMB is the digital form of legal tender issued by the People's Bank of China, exchanged 1:1 with physical currency, and does not have any room for speculation, nor does it involve any promotional rebate activities. The People's Bank of China Chongqing Branch has never issued any announcements related to "investing in digital RMB for high returns," "promoting digital RMB rebates," or "hiring paid digital RMB promotion agents." Relevant organizations, companies, and the general public are advised to stay vigilant, enhance discernment, and guard against falling for scams.
