Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Apple plans to launch its first foldable iPhone in 2026, and plans to follow up with a foldable iPad in 2028. Both foldable devices will use a solution with ultra-thin glass cover boards, exclusively supplied by Corning. In terms of the foldable iPhone, Kuo predicts that shipments will reach 8-10 million units in 2026, and is expected to grow to 25 million units in 2027. As for the foldable iPad, Kuo believes that the pricing strategy will be more high-end, and will provide a display area of 18 to 20 inches when unfolded.
