Canalys: The shipment volume of smartphones in the Latin American market in the second quarter increased by 2% year-on-year to 34.3 million units.

According to the latest data from Canalys (now part of Omdia), the Latin American smartphone market saw a slight year-on-year increase of 2% in the second quarter of 2025, reaching 34.3 million units. Samsung maintained its market leading position, with an 8% year-on-year increase in shipments reaching 11 million units, with the Galaxy A06 and A16 models accounting for over 60% of the total, highlighting the key role of affordable models in driving volume growth. Motorola ranked third, with shipments falling by 10% to 5.1 million units. Honor and Transsion ranked fourth and fifth respectively, with diverging trends: Honor saw a significant 70% increase, with shipments reaching a record 2.9 million units; while Transsion saw a 23% decline, with shipments reaching 2.4 million units.
