Gold futures in New York broke through $3,600, reaching a new all-time high.

On Tuesday, the New York session, the COMEX gold futures for December rose by 2.42%, to $3601.00 per ounce, remaining in an upward trend throughout the day. At 04:36 Beijing time, it reached $3602.40, surpassing the April 22 peak of $3585.80. Spot gold rose by 1.72%, to $3536.03 per ounce, trading around $3480 before 21:00 with narrow fluctuations, then continued to rise and reached $3540.04 at 03:46, setting a new historical high. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up by 2.40%, at 255.05 points, also setting a new record high. Spot silver rose by 0.49%, to $40.8960 per ounce. Spot platinum rose by 0.17%, to $1409.23 per ounce; spot palladium rose by 0.56%, to $1143.62 per ounce.
