More than 200 climbers have been granted permission for the Nepal autumn climbing season.
As of September 2, the Nepalese autumn climbing season has approved 204 climbers to climb 10 peaks within the country. Shimal Gautam, an official from the Nepal Tourism Board, said that these climbers come from 45 countries and regions, including 43 women. Most of the climbers have been granted permission to climb the world's eighth highest peak, Manaslu, while 1 person has been granted permission to climb the world's highest peak, Mount Everest.
