On Tuesday, the National 100 Index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange in Turkey closed down 3.57% at 10,877.52 points. It continued to trade narrowly before plunging significantly around 40 minutes before 20:30 Beijing time, extending its pullback since hitting a historic high on August 26. The banking index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange fell 4.76% to 15,553.20 points. The Turkish lira weakened against the US dollar, dropping over 0.1% to 41.1696 lira at one point.
