Two departments deploy and promote the construction of "broadband forests and grasslands". By the end of 2027, the proportion of 4G/5G network coverage in forest areas will reach 90%.

According to the Securities Times APP, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Forestry and Grassland Administration recently jointly issued a notice on promoting the construction of "broadband forests and grasslands" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"). The "Notice" proposes that by the end of 2027, the proportion of 4G/5G network coverage in forest (field) sites will reach 90%, the coverage level of 4G/5G networks in population centers, key fire lookout towers, and other important locations will be significantly improved, key locations within national nature reserves will have basic broadband network coverage, and 4G/5G network coverage will be provided as needed along national and key provincial roads passing through forest and grassland areas.
