Ivira said at the forum that the current global trade system is experiencing disruptions and is in an "unstable state." She said that countries should establish a more solid foundation for global trade in the coming years and even decades. Slovenian Ministry of Economy State Secretary Matvoz Franjic emphasized the need to further strengthen the core principles of the WTO. He also pointed out that the recent trade agreement between the European Union and the United States is "unfair and unbalanced."
