Hunan's largest new energy "enclave" grid-connected power generation
In the Gobi Desert of Red Fort in Ningxia, 1500 kilometers away from Hunan, the 1 million kilowatt photovoltaic project of the first phase of the 3 million kilowatt wind and solar new energy base in Red Fort District, invested and constructed by Hunan Energy Group, was officially connected to the grid for power generation recently. This blue matrix composed of nearly 2 million photovoltaic panels has become the largest new energy "enclave" in Hunan, marking a further improvement in the autonomous and controllable capacity of Hunan Energy. "Through the 'Ning Electric to Xiang' project, this 'electricity expressway', we can ensure that electricity can be sent to Hunan when needed," said the person in charge of Hunan Energy Group. The annual power generation of the first phase project will reach 1.97 billion kilowatt-hours, which can meet the electricity consumption of 1.6 million households for a year.
