Three informed sources stated that Saudi Aramco and the Iraqi national oil marketing organization have stopped selling crude oil to India's Nayara Energy. The European Union imposed sanctions on this Russian-backed refinery in July. According to the sources and shipping data from the London Stock Exchange Group, the halt in crude oil supply from these two Gulf exporters means that Nayara, controlled by entities such as the Russian state oil company, will rely entirely on Russian crude oil imports in August. Kpler and LSEG shipping data show that Nayara typically receives around 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil and 1 million barrels of Saudi crude oil per month, but did not receive any shipments from these two suppliers in August.
