The stability of mid-year dividends continues to improve, with over 200 Shanghai-listed companies distributing "mid-year red packets" for two consecutive years.
Since the new "National Nine Provisions" was introduced last year, issuing dividends multiple times within a year has become an important means for listed companies to enhance the stability, sustainability, and predictability of dividends. Taking the Shanghai market as an example, after experiencing a "surge" in mid-term dividends in 2024, mid-term dividends in 2025 reached a new level. According to statistics, as of August 30, 406 listed companies in the Shanghai market have announced their semi-annual dividend plans, with the number of dividend-paying companies and the amount of dividends reaching new highs. It is worth mentioning that nearly 60% of these companies have returned value to investors with "real gold and silver" for two consecutive years during the semi-annual reporting period, making mid-term dividends in the Shanghai market increasingly popular.
