The first application for the regulatory sandbox supervision of special equipment safety in our country has officially entered the sandbox testing phase.

The trial plan for GH2070P and GH4070T high-temperature alloy new materials for the 650C supercritical demonstration project has successfully passed the review, becoming the first project in China to officially enter the sandbox test of special equipment safety. The launch of the first sandbox test marks a key step in reforming the traditional safety supervision mode, providing an innovative regulatory path of "cautious inclusion, controllable risk" for the application of high-risk new materials, and demonstrating significance for the subsequent improvement of the safety access mechanism for special equipment new materials, technologies, and processes. At the same time, the successful entry of this project into the sandbox test will help promote the breakthrough of the "bottleneck" problem of high-temperature alloy new materials for 650C supercritical units, accelerate the advancement of new material safety applications and industrialization, and provide important support for the high-quality development of national energy and power.
