The average salary of securities company employees has increased.

As of the evening of August 29, 42 listed securities firms have all disclosed their semi-annual reports for 2025. Of the 39 listed securities firms with comparable data, the total compensation for the first half of this year was 77.715 billion yuan, an 18.19% increase compared to the total compensation of 65.754 billion yuan in the first half of 2024. Against the backdrop of a general increase in total compensation, the average compensation level of securities firm employees has also risen in tandem. Calculated according to the formula "average compensation per employee = total compensation for the period / number of employees," using the number of employees at the end of 2024 as the base estimate and excluding Guotai Haitong, Guolian Minsheng, and Zheshang Securities which had significant fluctuations in data due to mergers, among the 39 listed securities firms, 34 firms saw a year-on-year increase in average compensation per employee, accounting for nearly ninety percent.
