Indian Prime Minister Modi arrived in Tianjin by plane to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.

This evening, Indian Prime Minister Modi arrived at Tianjin Binhai International Airport by plane and will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. China and India are both members of the BRICS countries, the SCO, the G20, and other multilateral mechanisms. The SCO is an important platform for the two countries to carry out multilateral cooperation. China and India are important neighbors, both being developing countries and emerging economies at crucial stages of their respective development and revitalization. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. The Indian side has previously expressed its willingness to deepen political mutual trust with China, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in economic and trade fields, enhance cultural exchanges, and jointly safeguard peace and tranquility in the border areas.
