Monetary Authority of Macao, Huang Sun Wen: "Digital Macau Dollar" project is scheduled to conduct sandbox testing by the end of the year.

On August 30, Huang Shanwen, Deputy Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Monetary Authority of Macau, stated at the 7th Greater Bay Area Financial Development Forum that Macau is actively promoting the construction of the "Digital Macau Pataca" project, planning to conduct sandbox testing by the end of the year, and strengthening the connection between data and digital renminbi with banks. In the future, it will achieve interconnection of data currencies between the Greater Bay Area and Macau, promoting financial innovation and coordinated development.
