US officials: Palestinian President and 80 Palestinian officials had their US visas revoked.

Local time on August 29th, reporters learned that US State Department officials said that US visas for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and 80 other Palestinian officials have been revoked. Earlier that day, the US State Department announced that it would refuse to issue and cancel US visas for members of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and the Palestinian National Authority before the United Nations General Assembly in September. This restriction means that Palestinian National Authority President Abbas may not be able to attend the UN General Assembly in New York as usual and deliver a speech. The office of Palestinian National Authority President Abbas expressed "deep regret and shock" over this.
