Palestinian President may not be able to attend the United Nations General Assembly due to restrictions set by the United States.

The US State Department issued a statement today saying that it will refuse to issue and cancel visas for members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority before the United Nations General Assembly meeting in September. This restriction means that the President of the Palestinian Authority, President Abbas, is likely unable to attend the UN General Assembly meeting in New York as usual and deliver a speech.
