Tesla's sales in the European Union have been declining for seven consecutive months.
Data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association on August 28th shows that, despite the largest increase in pure electric car sales in the EU in nearly two years in July this year, American electric car brand Tesla experienced a "dark July" in the EU, with sales plummeting by over 40% year-on-year, marking the seventh consecutive month of decline. The data shows that pure electric car sales in the EU market increased by 39% in July, but Tesla only sold 6600 units, far below the 11465 units sold in the same period last year. Tesla's stock price fell by 1.5% during afternoon trading on that day.
