As of the end of July, the total balance of commercial acceptance bills was 19.9 trillion yuan, and the discount balance was 15.6 trillion yuan. In July, 112,000 small and medium-sized enterprises issued bills, accounting for 93.5% of all bill-issuing enterprises. The total amount of bills issued by small and medium-sized enterprises was 2.8 trillion yuan, accounting for 74.1% of the total bill issuance. There were 124,000 small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in discounting, accounting for 96.5% of all discounting enterprises. The total discount amount for these enterprises was 2.4 trillion yuan, accounting for 78.1% of the total discounting amount.
