The United Nations has identified that Venezuela does not have illegal drug cultivation.
On August 27th, local time, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime released its latest "World Drug Report 2025," recognizing Venezuela as a "non-illicit drug cultivation country" and pointing out that the country is no longer considered a major transit route for drugs to the United States and Europe. Venezuela's Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Gustavo Gonzlez Lpez, stated that the report refuted the US accusations of the presence of drug trafficking groups in Venezuela.
