Pan Sen, a macro analyst, stated in a report that he expects the Bank of England to slow the pace of quantitative tightening to 700 billion pounds within the next 12 months starting from October, down from the current 1 trillion pounds. The Bank of England pointed out the impact of quantitative tightening on the UK government bond market during its policy decision meeting in August. Economists said, "This indicates that the British government is increasingly worried about rising yields." They said that due to concerns about the impact of quantitative tightening on the UK government bond market, the Bank of England may reduce this plan.
