Recently, with the completion of natural resource rights registration on Longyandun Island in Beihai City, Guangxi officially issued the first "ID card" for an uninhabited island. With this, Longyandun Island now has its own exclusive "household registration book", becoming the second uninhabited island in the country to complete natural resource rights registration. Longyandun Island is located in the Tieshan Port sea area of Gongguan Town, Hepu County, Beihai City, Guangxi. It is named after its round shape resembling a longan fruit. This registration confirms that the ownership of Longyandun Island belongs to the people, with the Ministry of Natural Resources as the main body responsible for ownership and the Beihai City People's Government as the main body responsible for proxy performance of ownership duties. The registration shows that the total area of the island is 2.01 hectares, with wetland resources covering 0.16 hectares, forest resources covering 0.82 hectares, and other natural resources covering 1.03 hectares.
