Liu Liehong, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated at the opening ceremony of the 2025 China International Big Data Industry Expo on August 28 that the National Bureau of Statistics has promoted nearly 30 related policies, including the development and utilization of public data resources, high-quality development of the digital economy, and comprehensive digital transformation in cities. The bureau is also supporting 10 regions in actively exploring the construction of comprehensive experimental zones for data elements, and more than 20 regions have successively introduced data regulations. This year, more than a dozen industry policies will be introduced, including data property rights, data innovative enterprises, and digital industry clusters.
