On the afternoon of the 27th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the "Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Business Access to Promote the Development of the Satellite Communication Industry", putting forward 19 measures from orderly expanding market openness, continuously expanding application scenarios, and nurturing the growth of the industry ecology. According to the latest guidance issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China aims to have over tens of millions of satellite communication users by 2030. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced that China will promote the opening up of satellite communication business in an orderly manner by dividing it by industry, stage, and step. The reform measures mainly focus on three aspects: first, supporting the accelerated development of low-orbit satellite internet to drive collaborative innovation throughout the industry chain and achieve global broadband network coverage; second, supporting telecommunications operators to conduct direct satellite business terminal connections, fully utilizing high and low-orbit satellite resources through co-construction and sharing, accelerating the popularization and extension of satellite communication applications from professional fields to the public; third, organizing the commercial trial of satellite internet of things, researching the establishment of new satellite communication services, and further opening up to private enterprises. Industry experts point out that China's satellite communication technology level and application capabilities have steadily improved. The guidance also proposes expanding the application scenarios of satellite communication, focusing on three main directions: emergency communication, digital benefits for the people, and integrated innovation.
