The Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province issued the "Open and Innovative Development Plan for the Full Industry Chain of Biomedicine in China Free Trade Pilot Zone".

The "plan" requires that by 2030, the scale of the biomedical industry in the Jiangsu Free Trade Experimental Zone will grow rapidly, the innovative ecosystem will continue to optimize, the modernization level of the industrial chain will significantly increase, the level of openness to the outside world will greatly improve, the security guarantee capability will continue to strengthen, key technologies will achieve breakthroughs, and industrial clusters with characteristic advantages will be cultivated in key areas such as large molecule biopharmaceuticals, cell and gene therapy, and innovative medical devices.
