Make coal burning cleaner and more efficient. The world's first set of 660 megawatt ultra-supercritical double-arch coal-fired unit has been put into operation.
Today, it was learned from the State Power Investment Corporation that the world's first 660-megawatt ultra-supercritical double-arch coal-fired unit has been successfully put into operation, marking a major breakthrough in China's high-efficiency clean coal power technology sector. The project is a "wind-solar-thermal integrated" clean energy project, using a "coal power + new energy" approach to achieve complementary advantages. The unit has overcome the technical difficulties of efficient and clean combustion of anthracite coal, utilizing coal seam gas ignition and combustion assistance. Compared to traditional oil-fired ignition, carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by 53% under the same consumption conditions, while nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and other pollutants are reduced by over 90%. It can save over 72 million yuan in coal costs annually, injecting strong momentum into the upgrade of energy structure in the Southwest region.
