Mexico reiterates its opposition to US military deployments in the Caribbean.
On August 26, local time, Mexican President Lpez Obrador once again stated his opposition to foreign governments interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign nations, in response to the recent deployment of military forces by the United States in the southern Caribbean under the guise of combating international drug trafficking organizations. Lpez Obrador emphasized that Mexico will never support foreign governments intervening in the affairs of sovereign nations. Mexico will firmly adhere to diplomatic principles, uphold a foreign policy based on respecting sovereignty, national self-determination, and peaceful conflict resolution, oppose interventionism, and defend the right to national self-determination.
