According to data released by the American Chamber of Commerce on the 26th, as of the 20th, the August Consumer Confidence Index in the United States fell by 1.3 points to 97.4. Among them, the index of consumers' assessment of current business and employment market conditions dropped by 1.6 points to 131.2. The index of consumers' expectations reflecting short-term income prospects, business, and employment market environment decreased by 1.2 points to 74.8, still below the critical point of 80 that usually indicates an economic recession is imminent.
