Italian Consumer Rights Protection Association: Gasoline and diesel prices have significantly increased over the past five years.

The Italian Consumer Rights Protection Association Codacons recently stated that in the past five years, diesel prices have risen by 27% and gasoline prices by 21.7%. According to Codacons' analysis based on official data, in the week around August 15, the average gasoline price at gas stations across Italy was 1.701 euros per liter, and diesel was 1.631 euros per liter. In comparison, during the same period in 2020, gasoline prices were 1.398 euros per liter and diesel was 1.284 euros per liter.
