Ministry of Commerce: China's direct investment in countries participating in the "Belt and Road Initiative" increased by 22.9% last year.

The State Council Information Office held a press conference at 3 pm on August 26. Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Vice Representative of International Trade Negotiations, stated that China's direct investment in countries participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative reached $50.99 billion last year, an increase of 22.9% from the previous year, accounting for 26.5% of China's total outbound investment that year. By the end of 2024, China's investment stock in countries participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative will reach $370 billion, accounting for 11.8% of the total outbound investment stock.
