Shirui will step down as the President of MasterCard Asia Pacific, and Richard Wormald will take over.

Mastercard announced on August 26th changes in its leadership in the Asia-Pacific region, with Ari Soderlindh stepping down as the President of the Asia-Pacific region by the end of this year. After more than ten years in the role, Soderlindh will transition to a consulting position, focusing on strategic initiatives and guiding the regional leadership to ensure a smooth transition. Starting on January 1st, 2026, Richard Wormald, the current President of Mastercard Australia, will take over as the President of the Asia-Pacific region from Soderlindh.
