On August 26, Douyin E-commerce Security and Trust Center released a governance announcement, focusing on cracking down on negative live streaming behaviors such as hanging up during live broadcasts and recording live streams. Since 2025, in response to continuous recording in the live streaming scenes, failure to rectify after platform warnings, long-term damage to consumer experience, and organized illegal recording behaviors, the platform has indefinitely revoked the live streaming partner streaming rights of 11,000 authors, and the live streaming e-commerce rights of over 5,000 authors.
