Deputy Director Wan Jinsong of the National Energy Administration stated at the press conference on "high-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" held by the State Council Information Office on August 26 that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the National Energy Administration will overall plan for the development of new industries such as new energy storage and hydrogen energy, promote the continuous optimization of industrial innovation ecology and development environment. by the first half of this year, China's new energy storage installed capacity is approximately 95 million kilowatts, nearly 30 times in 5 years, equivalent to equipping the new power system with 'giant power banks'. By 2024, China's hydrogen energy production and consumption will exceed 36 million tons, ranking first in the world, with more than half of the worlds renewable energy hydrogen production capacity. At the same time, artificial intelligence is also deeply empowering the energy field, becoming the "new engine" of energy technology revolution, expanding application scenarios in new energy generation, power grid inspection operations, oil and gas new resource exploration, and demonstrating great potential, allowing the energy industry to continuously rejuvenate under the support of AI.
