On August 26, 2025 at 3:08 a.m. Beijing time, China successfully launched the 10th group of satellites for satellite internet in low Earth orbit using the Long March 8A carrier rocket at the Hainan commercial space launch center. The satellite was launched into the designated orbit, marking a perfect success for the mission. The Long March 8A rocket used in this launch is a new generation of medium-sized liquid carrier rockets developed by China to meet the needs of launching a large-scale constellation in medium and low Earth orbit. Since its maiden flight in February of this year, this is the third mission it has successfully completed, demonstrating its high-density launch capability for multiple tasks. The Long March 8A is an upgraded version of the Long March 8 rocket, utilizing the first stage rocket and boosters from the Long March 8 but with a thicker and stronger body, capable of carrying payloads of up to 7 tons to sun-synchronous orbit.
