Korean Air orders 103 Boeing aircraft worth $36.2 billion.
According to regulatory documents and company statements, Korean Air will purchase 103 next-generation aircraft from Boeing, 19 spare engines from GE Aerospace and CFM International, and will also collaborate with GE Aerospace on a comprehensive engine maintenance program. The total investment is approximately 50 billion US dollars, including 36.2 billion dollars for the purchase of Boeing aircraft, 690 million dollars for the purchase of 19 spare engines, and 13 billion dollars for a 20-year engine maintenance service contract. The aircraft purchase orders include 20 Boeing 777-9, 25 Boeing 787-10, 50 Boeing 737-10, and 8 Boeing 777-8F cargo aircraft; scheduled for phased delivery by the end of 2030.
