On the afternoon of August 25th local time, a warehouse in Hamburg port, Germany suddenly caught fire and was accompanied by a series of explosions. According to German media reports, a car caught fire, causing multiple pressurized gas tanks in the warehouse to explode. The fire has now spread to at least another warehouse. There are also multiple small fires at the scene. The fire department preliminarily determined that the pressurized containers involved stored nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas," a dangerous chemical. According to reports, more than 200 firefighters and several fire trucks were dispatched to extinguish the fire. The accident has resulted in injuries, but the exact number and severity are unknown. Some emergency rescue vehicles were hit by flying debris, and the explosion at the scene forced the closure of a section of the nearby A1 highway. However, it is reported that the port railway and shipping operations were not affected.
