China Customs and the World Customs Organization jointly hosted the Fourth Asia-Pacific Regional Customs Laboratory Directors Meeting and Asia-Pacific Regional Customs Laboratory Seminar in Qingdao.

On August 25th, the World Customs Organization's 4th Asia-Pacific Region Customs Laboratory Directors Conference and Asia-Pacific Region Customs Laboratory Seminar opened in Qingdao, Shandong, jointly organized by China Customs and the World Customs Organization. Wu Haiping, Deputy Commissioner of China Customs, attended the conference and delivered a speech, advocating for the international customs community to contribute to the construction of an open, fair, and sustainable international economic and trade order. Suggestions were put forward around the development of customs laboratories, including empowering laboratory development with "smart customs" construction, improving exchange and cooperation mechanisms among Asia-Pacific Region customs laboratories, and fully leveraging the leading role of regional customs laboratories, all of which were positively responded to by participants.
