Typhoon "Swordfish" approaches Vietnam, tens of thousands of people evacuated from coastal areas.

On August 25th local time, as Typhoon "Swordfish" approaches, Vietnam has announced multiple measures to respond. Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Chen Honghe, chaired an emergency meeting to instruct on the typhoon response plan, specifically requesting that people do not go out between 11:00 and 18:00 on the 25th. According to reports from the Vietnamese military, 16,500 military personnel, over 100,000 militiamen, and reserves are mobilized to be on duty in key areas, with over 23,000 boats seeking refuge in port. Tens of thousands of people in Yen Bai, Ha Giang, and the central-northern coastal areas have been evacuated to safe areas.
