Hunan Camellia Oil Tea Achieves Three "National Firsts"

Today, reporters learned from the press conference of the 2nd Hunan Tea Oil Festival that the area of tea oil forests, tea oil production, and annual total output in Hunan Province all rank first in the country. Over the years, the scale of the tea oil industry in Hunan Province has continued to expand, with an average of 500,000 mu of new tea oil forests being planted each year and 900,000 mu of low-yield forests being transformed to promote the cultivation of tea oil resources. By the end of 2024, the tea oil forests in the province reached 23.71 million mu, with an annual tea oil production of 440,000 tons and an annual total output value of 93.4 billion yuan. The industrial structure continues to improve, industrial benefits gradually emerge, driving nearly one million farmers in the province to participate in production and management and achieve increased income.
