Asian market early trading gold prices slightly declined, possibly due to technical adjustment.
The price of gold in early Asian trading session is slightly lower, possibly due to technical adjustments. Spot gold fell by 0.1% to $3,367.50 per ounce. Gold futures surged last Friday, with Federal Reserve Chairman Powell seemingly opening the door to a rate cut in September. Analysts say that uncertainties surrounding whether the Fed will cut rates after September may also limit the increase in gold prices. Vasu Menon, Managing Director of Investment Strategy at Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, said, "Powell also mentioned that the Fed will proceed cautiously, which means that even if the Fed cuts rates in September, it cannot guarantee that it will continue to cut rates in October and December."
