Express delivery fees are rising, with Guangdong and Zhejiang e-commerce customers being the first to adjust their prices.
E-commerce centers in Guangdong and Zhejiang have raised prices for e-commerce customers. Guangdong is a key area for price adjustments, with price increases ranging from 0.3 yuan to 0.7 yuan per item, and a bottom price of 1.4 yuan per order. Some industry insiders have pointed out that Guangdong contributes the highest number of orders to express delivery companies, while also offering extremely low prices. The nationwide standard rate of 0.8 yuan originated in this region. It is understood that this price increase is a result of adjustments made in response to anti-internal competition measures. In July of this year, the State Post Bureau held party meetings and a discussion with express delivery companies, clearly stating the need to address industry-wide internal competition.
