Douyin e-commerce safety and trust center announced typical cases of traffic diversion fraud and synchronized governance progress. The announcement stated that some merchants induce consumers to stray from platform transactions through low-price gimmicks, or guide them to download unfamiliar apps for fraud under the guise of "after-sales compensation". In order to protect the rights and interests of consumers, the platform has disposed of more than 40,000 non-compliant merchants and more than 50,000 non-compliant influencers since the beginning of this year, taking measures including but not limited to removal and freezing of funds. Douyin e-commerce stated that there is zero tolerance for traffic diversion fraud, and will continue to upgrade risk identification and prevention capabilities, while reminding consumers to be vigilant against low-price inducements and avoid straying from the legitimate transaction process.
