Goer shares: Subsidiary Goer Optics intends to acquire 100% equity of Shanghai Oulai.
Gigaoptics announced that the company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with relevant parties to acquire 100% equity of Shunyu Aolai Micronano Optical Co., Ltd. and Shunyu Aolai Microelectronics Information Technology Co., Ltd. held by the trading party through the issuance of shares by Gigaoptics subsidiary Gigaoptics Optics. It is expected that after the completion of this transaction, Shanghai Aolai will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gigaoptics, with the original shareholders of Shanghai Aolai holding approximately 1/3 of the shares of Gigaoptics Optics and the original shareholders of Gigaoptics Optics holding approximately 2/3 of the shares, making the company still the largest shareholder of Gigaoptics Optics. Shanghai Aolai is the main company engaged in wafer-level micronano optical device product business including optical waveguides, metasurface devices, and diffractive optical devices under Shunyu Optical Technology Co., Ltd. Through this transaction, it can promote complementary advantages between Gigaoptics Optics and Shanghai Aolai, significantly enhance the core competitiveness of Gigaoptics Optics, and further consolidate its competitive advantages in the field of wafer-level micronano optical devices.
