From January to July, China's e-commerce continued to develop healthily, effectively boosting consumption, promoting the digital transformation of industries, and injecting new energy into international economic and trade cooperation for mutual benefit. Consumer e-commerce focuses on quality and innovation. Actions such as nurturing quality e-commerce and improving digital consumption have been implemented to add new vitality to expanding domestic demand. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, online retail sales in China grew by 9.2% from January to July, with physical goods online retail sales increasing by 6.3%. Digital products and trade-ins for new products have become driving forces, with online sales of computers, smart wearables, and phones increasing by 29.9%, 28.4%, and 20.3% respectively. Service consumption is growing rapidly, with online sales of travel, dining, and entertainment increasing by 24.8%, 16.6%, and 11%. The promotion of export through e-commerce has made significant progress, with over 40 billion yuan in sales on major e-commerce platforms' foreign trade special zones since April. Industrial e-commerce focuses on connecting and expanding market channels. Initiatives like "Digital Commerce Empowers Agriculture" and "Industrial E-commerce Benefits Enterprises" have facilitated over 300 matchmaking events in over 20 regions and platforms, resulting in thousands of cooperation intentions such as building production and sales chains and branding promotion. Products like Shanxi cultural and creative products, Liaoning strawberries, and soft dates have expanded their market channels through platforms. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, from January to July, the transaction volume of agricultural products, electronic products, and textiles in industrial e-commerce increased by 14.5%, 7.9%, and 6.5% respectively compared to the same period last year. Silk Road e-commerce promotes cooperation and mutual benefit. The "Silk Road E-commerce Benefits the World" theme activity has made progress, guiding the establishment of over 10 online and offline national pavilions. Practical progress has been made in constructing the China-Central Asia e-commerce cooperation dialogue mechanism, hosting a Central Asia-focused online lecture, which has received enthusiastic responses from over a hundred government officials, business associations, and e-commerce companies. Industrial matchmaking activities have been held in Hunan, Xinjiang, and other regions, reaching agreements on the import of dozens of high-quality goods from Africa, Central Asia, and other regions. Key monitoring platform data shows that from January to July, online sales of Egyptian essential oils and Uzbekistani candies increased by 179.2% and 104.7% respectively.
