On the 22nd, Director Wang Peng of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the mandatory national standard "Requirements for Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" has a transition period of 2 years. During the transition period, it is recommended that enterprises focus on three aspects of work: first, optimize supply chain management to ensure that procured raw materials comply with requirements; second, through product design optimization and research on alternative materials, replace raw materials containing hazardous substances; third, enhance the ability to screen, test, and systemically manage hazardous substances through self-build or third-party commissioning.
