According to informed sources, Eric Trump is planning to visit Tokyo next month, as part of his family's further expansion in the cryptocurrency industry. One source said that the son of the US President plans to attend a shareholder meeting of the Japanese Bitcoin asset management company Metaplanet Inc. on September 1. The source requested anonymity because the information has not been made public yet. Metaplanet is a hotel operator that switched to Bitcoin investments in early last year and has accumulated over $2.1 billion worth of bitcoin. In March of this year, the company appointed Eric Trump as a strategic advisor. The company has modeled itself after Michael Saylor's Strategy Inc.
