At midday close, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.32% and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.61%. The Hong Kong Tech ETF (159751) rose 1.78%, and the Hang Seng Stock Connect ETF (159318) rose 0.58%. In terms of sectors, the semiconductor products and equipment, as well as the distribution sector, performed well, while the passenger airlines and household goods sector had significant declines. In terms of individual stocks, XPeng Motors-W rose 10.2%, ZTE rose 10.03%, SMIC rose 6.29%, China Biologic Products rose 5.44%, Kangmei Pharmaceutical rose 4.46%, and Kuaishou-WR rose 4.09%. On the other hand, Jiuxing Holdings fell 7.2%, Shandong Gold Group fell 7.26%, Miniso rose 18.28%, and Huahong Semiconductor rose 11.74%.
