The State Council has agreed in principle to the "China Free Trade Zone Biomedical Industry Chain Open Innovation and Development Plan".

The State Council has approved the "Plan for the Open and Innovative Development of the Biomedical Industry Chain in China Free Trade Pilot Zone" in principle. The implementation of the "Plan" should be guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as the second, third plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, adhere to the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully implement the new development concept in a comprehensive and accurate manner, accelerate the establishment of a new development pattern, promote high-quality development in a solid manner, better coordinate development and security, take high-level opening up as the guide and institutional innovation as the core, carry out pioneering and integrated exploration, promote integrated innovation and development of the biomedical industry chain, and build the China Free Trade Pilot Zone into a globally influential biomedical industry gathering place and a more internationally competitive biomedical innovation and development highland.
