Shanxi Province initiates the province-level fourth-level emergency response for geological disasters for six cities within the province.

In response to the complex situation of recent geological disasters in Shanxi Province, the Office of the Major Geological Disaster Emergency Command of Shanxi Province, in accordance with relevant regulations, after consultation and assessment, decided to activate the provincial level four emergency response to geological disasters in six cities including Taiyuan, Shuozhou, Xinzhou, Lvliang, Jinzhong, and Yangquan starting from 10:00 on August 20th.
