The country's first "Three Gorges Dam protector No. 1" completed its trial voyage and was delivered.

The first pure electric cleaning and transport ship in our country's inland rivers, the "Three Gorges Dam Protection No. 1," successfully conducted trial sailing and delivery today in Zigui County, Hubei Province, further promoting the electrification and green transformation of ships in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. The ship "Three Gorges Dam Protection No. 1" has a total length of 82 meters, a maximum width of 13.76 meters, and a designed maximum draft of 3.25 meters. It adopts a twin-engine twin-propeller propulsion system, with a range of up to 150 kilometers. It can replace 253.4 tons of fuel per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 842.4 tons. It is equipped with two containerized power sources, which are the ship's power source and also provide electricity for onboard use. After delivery and operation, "Three Gorges Dam Protection No. 1" can fully utilize its advanced salvage and lifting equipment on the main deck to accurately locate, efficiently salvage, concentrate clean, and timely transport floating objects in the waters and reservoir areas in front of the dam in the Three Gorges reservoir area, effectively ensuring the safety of the hub project during floods. At the same time, when there are no cleaning tasks during the non-flood season, it can be used for transporting bulk goods such as bulk cargo along the Yangtze River, with a variety of operating scenarios and functions.
